December 22, 2006 — A new study shows that many U.S. employees do not realize that their personal computer activities at work may wind up as business records — records that could be revealed in a lawsuit. The report, from employee-training firm WeComply, found that 39% of U.S. workers incorrectly believe that a message sent from their personal e-mail account on a work computer remains a personal record.
