Online Injury and Illness Prevention Course

Injury and Illness PreparationIt is in every organization's interest to provide a safe working environment for all employees. Workplace illnesses and injuries are disruptive and expensive, resulting in the loss of productive work time, extra time required to hire and/or train replacements for injured workers, and wage-continuation and paperwork costs, among others.

The California Occupational Safety and Health Act (Cal-OSHA) regulations require every California employer to have an Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP). The IIPP is a written plan aimed at reducing the risks of workplace injuries and illnesses. Every IIPP must contain several elements, including safety and health training and instruction. All supervisors and employees, regardless of their position, job function or responsibility, must receive this training.
