Online Preventing Sexual Harassment in Athletics Training Course
This course is designed for coaches and other sports-related professionals, including athletic trainers, officials, sports psychologists, and sports-information personnel, who have special responsibilities in helping their leagues or schools maintain a respectful athletic environment. Not only must these individuals refrain from engaging in inappropriate conduct (and conduct that has the appearance of inappropriate conduct), but they must know what to do if they observe or learn of such conduct by others.
The course discusses sexual harassment in the athletic context, including conduct both on and off the athletic field, consensual relationships between coaches and athletes, and the legal duties of coaches and other sports-related professionals who observe or learn of inappropriate conduct involving minors.
