Legal Writer/Editor

WeComply has provided online compliance and ethics training solutions to businesses of all sizes since 1999. We are looking for an experienced Legal Writer/Editor to help us develop new and exciting training courses that cover a wide variety of legal subjects. The candidate must have a strong legal background, excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills, and an interest in growing with the company.

Duties and responsibilities include –

  • Researching new course ideas to determine priority, audience and feasibility.
  • Writing new course content and formatting the course material to work with our proprietary content-management system.
  • Supporting the sales and marketing team with legal analyses related to the courses we market.
  • Editing legal content written by colleagues, prospects or customers.

Education: Law degree is required.

Experience: At least one year of related experience is required. Experience working in high-tech environment is a plus.

Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated ability to translate legal concepts into lay language, and thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) are required. Familiarity with HTML and content-management systems is a plus.

Location: Able to work from our Mahwah, NJ, offices.
